    from cocoa farmers with their low crop yields due to pests and diseases unsustainable farming methods and aging trees The Erlass participants realized that a regular chocolate bar found in the stores has gone through a long and complicated supply chain which reduces the amount of incentives that farmers can collect The participants enjoyed the discussion about Indonesian chocolate and the relaxed feeling that chocolate brings A range of interesting answers about products using chocolate came from the participants such as chocolate body scrub chocolate soap chocolate shampoo the possibilities are endless They particularly enjoyed the video The Story of Chocolate describing the process of chocolate from the cocoa bean processing to manufacturing distribution to the consumer From a historical standpoint they discovered that chocolate was used as currency The other video Indonesia A Chance for Chocolate showed how the second largest chocolate company Mars of the United States provided training in farming methods and maintenance to cocoa bean farmers in Indonesia Two of the farmers in Sulawesi Ibu Mimi and Bapak Ahmed benefited from the training Ibu Mimi managed to generate 100 kilograms of cocoa beans twice a month from the training a very different situation from the previous

    Cilandak Timur 03 Primary School LPK Faida Cendikia Perdana Cilandak Barat 08 Primary School among others It was a pleasure to hear Gabriela Eleonora from Strada Wiyatasana Primary School give an earnest speech about her favorite books and reading as her hobby in the age of video games social media and movie streaming Mikhail Haaritz from Kemala Bhayangkari 3 showed his clear strong voice and clear use of English during his speech about his favorite food gado gado The preliminary stage produced standouts and generated 25 contestants who made it to the semifinals and finals held on Saturday February 21 2015 The 25 contestants at the semi final presented their speeches about how to make Jakarta a cleaner city Each was inspiring in their efforts to make Jakarta cleaner and more livable for everyone The jury of 2 editors Mr Wibi and Mr Wahyu and a native speaker from the United States Mr Moigu did their best to evaluate each contestant at the semi finals Time flew by quickly during the semi finals when the number of contestants were further reduced to 10 finalists selected by the jury Each contestant at the finals was inspiring and gave effort to a speech that they had to imagine as they were young and have not reached adulthood Mathilda Amadea Keo from Strada Wiyatasana Primary School spoke about being a veterinarian as she had 2 pet dogs and liked them for their loyalty Sechan Harun from Primary Global Islamic School spoke about using robotics in his work as a doctor to heal people and using his favorite robot Boymax as an example Alifya Widya Cahyani from Kemala Bhayangkari 3 Primary School gave her all about caring for children and pregnant women Hasna Hafidzah showed caring for women and children as her strong suit

    about what I want to say to our beloved Governor Mr Joko Widodo Mr Joko Widodo better known by his nickname Jokowi was born in Surakarta on June 21 1961 He is an Indonesian politician and the current Governor of Jakarta He was previously the Mayor of Solo too he brought rapid changes to Solo and applied the motto Solo The Spirit of Java I can see that Mr Jokowi is a humble man and he doesn t give up with endless Jakarta problems That is why I became one of his biggest fans and I have always wished to be able to meet him soon as there is something that I want to tell him Sir the only thing I want to talk about right now is the new curriculum in the next Academic Years I have been hearing rumors about the new curriculum for all Elementary Schools in Indonesia that will exclude English Subject I personally object this arrangement because I believe that most of the elementary school student in Jakarta will lose the only access to learn English While I think that English is very very important because it is a universal language that people use to communicate with people all around the world If we don t study English if I didn t study English I will not be able to enter this speech contest firstly Secondly we will not be able to communicate with other people from all around the world Mr Jokowi you are an entrepreneur too You must understand that English is very important to us you realize that you will not understand the order from non Indonesian buyers if you don t study English And Sir that s going to make Jakarta as the capital city of a country being one step
